The Coyote’s Virtues is the second Coyote book by TJ Greaney. The books are designed for a boy to read and journal his thoughts. It gives him a time for quiet reflection, a cool short story and a bible led question and answer page. This is a great tool for a boy alone, with his dad each night, with a group of friends, as a tool for a Sunday school class or a camp out.
Give your boys a piece of their heart back, train them to be the good young men God created them to be, Coyote’s Virtues.
noun: virtue; plural noun: virtues
behavior showing high moral standards.
Most everyone wants to do good, be good. They want to be nice and helpful, kind and thoughtful. It doesn’t seem like that from the outside when you see, read or hear about some of the ugly, mean, even brutal things that happen in our world today. But I am almost positive that the people doing these bad things at one time, maybe when they were younger, wanted to be good, treat others nicely and be treated well too. I also think that somewhere along the way they did not hear, get trained, have someone teach them the virtues of live.
Living with a code, a creed, a set of virtues is important to learn as a young man. Today the world, social media, and many people tell them things are good or things they should do if you are going to be cool and popular. Too often it’s not true. Most of those things never last and people will not remember them when they’re gone because they have a million followers on social media. Well maybe a little, but those won’t be people who really cared about them or that they cared about. The people close to them, family, a few good friends, are the ones who will never, ever forget them when they live a life of virtue, character, and meaning.
The chapters and topics in this book are designed to spend time on and write out the questions, prayers and thoughts. Completing each one will give a young man great insight to the questions he has. Each one can be a conversation with God. A gift every boy needs to experience and learn.
